De brug bij Grave
kort vóór de opening in 1929. Rechts onder het Gemaal van Sasse,
gebouwd in 1928/29, door de Geallieerden in 1944 aangezien als een electriciteitscentrale.
Op deze foto is de Brugkazemat-zuid, gebouwd in 1936 (uiteraard) nog niet
te zien. Aan de noordzijde van de brug werd eveneens een kazemat gebouwd ter
verdediging van de brug. Beide kazematten waren permanent bemand door militairen
van het korps politietroepen.
The Grave (pronounced "Graawe") bridge short before opening
in 1929. The building in the right under corner of the picture is a pump engine
station and not a power station as the Allies thought in 1944. In 1936 the
Dutch Government has built fortifications on both sides of the bridge.
