GI's ontspannen zich voor de open haard. Triple A idem, maar dan jaren later. Waarschijnlijk zijn in de loop der jaren souvenierjagers bezig geweest aan de ommanteling van de open haard; er is flink wat steen ervan "afgeknabbeld".

De poort naar de tunnel die uiteindelijk toegang geeft tot de lift naar het "Adelaarsnest" wordt bewaakt door enkele GI's. Dezelfde poort in 2003 waarbij de Triple A´s door talloze toeristen worden gefotografeerd.

Opnieuw de poort waarin goed de zware deuren te zien zijn. Vergelijk de lengte eens van de GI's van toen met die van nu. Neem als maat de stenen blokken rond de poort. Het scheelt een kop!
