Volgens Paul Miller
was het de lokale bevolking verboden om in Hitler's privé meer bij
Berchtesgaden te vissen. Dus .... visten deze 506th PIR medics met omgebogen
chirurgische naalden en haalden op die manier - zonder dus haken te gebruiken
- 67 forellen uit het water.
According to Paul Miller, the local population had not been allowed to
fish in Hitler's private lake near Berchtesgaden, so these 506th PIR medics
were able to catch 67 golden trout in 1 hour with no hooks . . . all they
used were surgical needles!

Een groep 506 officieren en onder-officieren genieten van het uitzicht in Berchtesgaden. Dit is één van de weinige - bekende - foto's waarop Lewis Nixon te zien is.
A group of 506th officers and NCO's enjoy the view at Berchtesgaden. This is one of the few (known) pictures with Lewis Nixon.
